The Huon Views Project
Some homes start with a floorplan —this one started with a feeling.
Perched high above with views of Huon Creek, the block itself was part of the appeal. Steep, sloping and full of potential—it asked for a bit more thought, a bit more care, and a willingness to lean into what could be.
So that’s exactly what we did.
The land was shaped first—cut and carefully considered—to create a foundation that felt right. Not just structurally, but visually. Because when you’re working with views like these, you don’t just build on the block… you build for it.
From the street, the home rises with a quiet confidence. A modern facade, clean lines, nothing overworked. It doesn’t need to be.
Then you step inside, and everything opens up.
There’s this immediate sense of space—the kind you feel before you really notice it. Light pouring in from above, voids that stretch upward and draw your eye —it’s open, but not overwhelming.
The living area carries that same feeling through. A second void, expansive glazing, and colours that shift with the time of day—never static, always doing something a little different. It becomes part of the rhythm of the home without asking for attention.
Inside, the palette stays warm and grounded. Light timbers, soft tones, nothing that competes. It’s layered in a way that feels easy to live in—like it will still feel just as good years from now.
And then, tucked away, there are the moments that feel a little bit special.
An ensuite where the bath sits against the window, looking out over the landscape. The kind of space that invites you to slow down, even if just for a minute longer than usual.
This home belongs to a newly married couple stepping into their next chapter—and you can feel that in the way it’s been considered. It’s not just about how it looks, but how it will be lived in. The mornings, the gatherings, the in-between moments that slowly turn a house into something more.
